I would like to share my personal experience to help others make informed decisions.
Recently, I applied for a Hong Kong visa through Pleco Migration. The process took more than six months to proceed. As per the agreement, I completed all required payments to the company (approximately LKR 300,000), excluding the visa fee.
Unfortunately, my visa application was rejected. After the rejection, I contacted the agency to understand the next steps. They advised me to send an inquiry email directly to Immigration and provided a draft letter for that purpose. Although I understand that immigration is not obligated to disclose detailed reasons for visa rejections, I still submitted the inquiry in March 2026. As of today, I have not received a response.
Following this, I requested whether a partial refund could be considered after deducting documentation and service related costs. However, the request was declined on the basis that visa approval or rejection is outside their control.
I understand that visa decisions are ultimately made by immigration authorities and are not controlled by an agency. However, based on my personal experience, I believe it would be more customer-friendly if payments were structured in stages rather than collecting the majority of fees upfront before the visa outcome.
I chose this service based on online reviews and expected a different experience. I am sharing this only to encourage others to carefully review agreements, payment terms, refund policies, and milestones before making full payments for migration or visa-related services.
If anyone has had a similar experience, sharing honest and factual reviews may help others make informed decisions.
Based on my personal experience, I would encourage others to exercise caution and carefully review payment structures, refund policies, and service terms before proceeding. Personally, this experience affected my confidence in the service provided.
The purpose of sharing this review is not to blame the visa outcome but to help others make informed decisions and avoid financial loss where possible. I hope my experience helps someone ask the right questions before committing to large upfront payments.
NOT RECOMMENDED THIS COMPANY.
