1 Star – Worst Courier Experience Ever (DTDC Delhi)
We chose DTDC Delhi because of their reputation for fast delivery. We were clearly told that our courier from Delhi to Kannur would be delivered by the 7th, which was extremely important as we are traveling back to Saudi Arabia on the 10th. Since our luggage exceeded the 20 kg limit, couriering was our only option — and trusting DTDC turned out to be a huge mistake.
From the moment the package was sent, there was ZERO proper communication. Until the 9th, we received no real updates. When we first contacted DTDC Delhi, they said they had no idea where the courier was and that they would “try to find it.” After repeatedly calling and pushing them, they finally gave us a number they somehow “found,” which turned out to be the number of a random third-party local courier.
We tried calling that number many times — it either said wrong number or was switched off. After trying again and again, we finally got a pre-recorded voice message claiming that our courier had already been delivered, which was completely false and extremely misleading.
When we called DTDC Delhi again, the staff still had no proper information and showed zero accountability. The tracking system is absolutely useless — confusing, inaccurate, and unreliable.
Then, on the 9th by noon, we received a call from another third-party courier company, saying that our courier had “arrived.” They then informed us that they do not have any door-to-door delivery drivers or vehicles right now, which is why the courier was never delivered to our house in Kannur.
Because this was an emergency and we are leaving the country soon, we were forced to travel all the way to Kuthuparamba ourselves just to collect the package. This completely defeats the entire purpose of using a courier service, especially one that promises fast and reliable delivery.
This experience caused us huge stress, wasted time, and could have resulted in us leaving the country without our belongings.
I am giving 1 star only because the review system requires at least one star. If it were possible, I would give zero stars.
DTDC Delhi is unreliable and unprofessional. If you value your time, money, or peace of mind — DO NOT use this service, especially for urgent or international travel-related deliveries

Absolutely the worst courier experience I’ve ever had. I shipped two boxes weighing around 35 kg (volumetric weight 53 kg) from Dwarka Sector–1, New Delhi to the UK through DTDC. Before sending, I spoke to Mr. Jitender from the branch multiple time and he clearly assured me that liquids and perfumes were allowed. Based on his word, I trusted their service and sent a large number of valuable personal items—including expensive perfumes.

When my shipment arrived, a huge portion of the items was missing. These were not small or cheap things—the value of what I lost is far more than the ₹24,000 I paid for shipping. I feel completely cheated.

What makes this worse is the lack of responsibility and accountability from DTDC. I was misled during the booking process and now I’m left with financial loss and emotional frustration. I have already issued a legal notice to the company and will be taking this to consumer court if it’s not resolved immediately.

I strongly warn anyone considering DTDC for international shipments — do NOT trust their verbal assurances. What I experienced is nothing short of negligence and misrepresentation. Think twice before handing over your valuable belongings to this company.
