A Cautionary Tale – Disappointed with Aditya Birla Capital Health Insurance
Today, I feel compelled to share a frustrating and stressful experience with Aditya Birla Capital’s health insurance service. My brother was recently hospitalized, and while we expected the discharge to happen at 11 AM, we’re still stuck at the hospital well past 7 PM — not because of any medical delay, but purely due to claim and discharge formalities that the insurer failed to process within their own promised timelines.
Despite repeated follow-ups, there was no accountability, no proper communication, and certainly no urgency. It’s mentally and physically exhausting for patients and families to deal with this kind of uncertainty and broken promises.
For a company dealing with health — where time, clarity, and compassion matter the most — this level of service is completely unacceptable. I urge others to be cautious when choosing your health insurance provider.
We opted for Aditya Birla thinking we were in safe hands. Unfortunately, the experience proved otherwise.
They deserve not even one star. I am a holder of Aditya Birla Mediclaim policy which I ported last year and I am being harassed by them for over a month for asking for my reimbursement of the claim of an accident. I met with an accident while taking my dog for a walk and the reason for the fall was that my dog rushed towards a street dog unannounced and I fell straight on my face and fractured my nose. They rejected my cashless claim stating that your doc has mentioned in the prescription that I have hypertension and asthma. such a weird reason of rejection which doesn't have anything to do with my surgery of fractured nose. they asked me to submit for reimbursement later and when I did submit my claim for reimbursement, even after submitting all documents and a declaration from the doctor who has operated me that i am not a patient of asthma and hypertension, they are rejecting my claim by saying we need the proof of the first prescription of the doctor which says that I am the patient of hyper tension and asthma. they want me to accept something which I dont have. And by the way it has no relation with the claim of my surgery. It is so evident that they are playing games so that they dont have to reimburse my claim. I would never advise anyone to get any policy for aditya birla.
Worst health policy award goes to Aditya Birla Capital Health Insurance. Would have given you stars in minus if possible. Never ever take this policy.
Didn’t gave our reimbursement claim. They just keep asking for documents and never give back claim till end and ultimately blame us.
